MISSION STATEMENT
Criss Walker - Walk Star is dedicated to promoting pedestrian safety through engaging and educational campaigns aimed at the public. Using an animated character that appears on all National Highway Transportation Safety Association (NHTSA) pedestrian signs, and “the kids” on all pedestrian signs near schools, CRISS WALKER is featured in television, radio, outdoor, and print advertising, who aims to raise awareness about the importance of safe pedestrian practices and responsible driving behavior.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to create safer communities by reducing pedestrian accidents and promoting a culture of respect and awareness on the roads. Through innovative and impactful advertising campaigns, we strive to instill lifelong habits of safe crossing among pedestrians and encourage drivers to prioritize the safety of all road users. We want everyone who sees a pedestrian sign to think of the character they saw or heard on TV, Radio, outdoor billboards and in print, and immediately process what they have seen or heard and immediately think about being more diligent with their walking or driving behavior. MEET THE FOUNDER - EDD LOCKWOOD
As the founder and owner of Criss Walker - Walk Star, Edd Lockwood brings a wealth of experience in the field of advertising and media management. With a background that includes creative services and years of service as a Sales Rep in TV, Newspaper & Billboard advertising and a Sales Manager and General Manager at a startup ABC network television station in Arizona, Edd has a deep understanding of the power of media to influence behavior and drive positive social change. With expertise in Advertising, as well as a 20-year Senior Account Executive in gaming sales, Edd is committed to utilizing innovative and effective strategies to deliver the message in pedestrian safety to a wide audience. From crafting compelling ad campaigns to strategic media placement, Edd is dedicated to maximizing the impact of our initiatives and driving meaningful results. For instance TV in Nevada reach: S. As the founder and driving force behind Criss Walker - Walk Star, Edd also serves as the voice of CRISS WALKER, the animated character featured in our campaigns. Inspired by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's iconic pedestrian crossing sign, CRISS WALKER serves as a recognizable and relatable advocate for safe pedestrian practices.

Criss Walker - Walk Star is a registered non-profit organization holding two business licenses: one from the Nevada Secretary of State and the other as a federally recognized 501(c)(3) entity. This official status demonstrates our commitment to operating with transparency, accountability, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Criss Walker also holds a Registered Trademark.
